Slime is the Emacs package which is regarded as the defacto editing environment for Common Lisp.

In this presentation I will present a view of the user experience, from my personal perspective.

The talk will include some or all of the following topics. We can spend as much or as little time on each topic as you like according to audience interest.

About me


This is Me as a baby, eating watermelon. My name is Jim Newton. I'm originally from Mississippi, where I was born and raised. I studied Electrical Engineering and Mathematics at Mississippi State University

I recently finished my PhD from Sorbonne. You can take a look at my thesis: Representing and Computing with Types in Dynamically Typed Languages

I'm current working as an instructor at EPITA, an engineering school in the Paris area.
